Brian Farley has served as CEO of Entellus Medical since March 2010, and as a member of the company’s board of directors beginning in 2008. Entellus completed a successful IPO in January 2015 (Nasdaq: ENTL).
Prior to joining Entellus, Mr. Farley was President and CEO of VNUS Medical Technologies from 1996 to 2009 after joining VNUS in 1995 as the first employee. VNUS pioneered the field of endovenous vein ablation and completed a successful IPO in 2004. VNUS generated over $110 million in annual sales in 2009 when VNUS was purchased by Covidien. VNUS products have been used to treat well over one million venous insufficiency patients.
Prior to VNUS, Mr. Farley was employed in various management and executive positions in R&D, clinical research, and business development by the Vascular Intervention Division of Guidant Corporation, and the Medical Device Division of Eli Lilly and Company.
Mr. Farley is the Chairman of the Board of Neuronetics Inc., a private medical company focused on the non-invasive treatment of drug-resistant depression, and also serves on the Board of Directors of DFINE Inc. Mr. Farley holds a B.S. in Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Engineering major from Purdue University.
